J. Oskam Steel Fabricators is located in Port Colborne, Ontario, approximately 20 minutes from Niagara Falls. J Oskam manufactures custom engineering projects. They service both Canadian and U.S. markets.

Two years ago, J. Oskam realized that its surface preparation and coatings facilities did not deliver the same quality and performance levels as the other parts of its production services.

At that time, they were using silica sand. J. Oskam only had a converted storage area for blasting projects. In addition, they were subcontracting up to 40% of their painting projects.

Within the first year of using BlastOne’s custom blast booth, J. Oskam increased total production. They could operate with half as many operators. The new paint cure system lowered cure time. Cure time went from 12 hours to 3-4 hours. There was now more time available for final assembly. Overall product quality improved.
