States, territories, and countries all have regulations set on noise pollution and there are health and safety requirements designed to keep workers noise exposure controlled. If these regulations aren’t met, you can face penalties.
Blast pots, dust collectors, spray machines and blast rooms all need to be considered when selecting equipment for a jobsite and considering noise levels. Every piece of equipment gives off levels of sound that need to be considered.
REDUCE THE WORKSITE NOISE
Installing mufflers to equipment or acoustic curtains or acoustic sheeting are only some of the ways to reduce worksite noise emissions.
It is best for health and safety if workers only have exposure to 85 decibels for a maximum of 8 hours to evade hearing loss. The best protection is found in blast helmets, spray hoods and earmuffs with inner padding.
Always be considerate of what is around you if you will be making excessive noise on the worksite.
