DeFelsko® Zero Plates
Thickness standards are used to verify the accuracy and operation of coating thickness gauges. As a component of ISO 9000 or in-house quality control procedures, they are a practical alternative to sending instruments to DeFelsko for calibration.
DeFelsko offers various solutions for this process and this group of products is their group of metal zero plates, as follows:
- Aluminum. Available in small and medium sizes.
- Steel. Available in small, medium and large sizes.

The DeFelsko® Zero Plates are available in steel or aluminum, these uncoated, precision-machined plates are a premium solution for establishing a baseline reading of zero before measuring coated standards. Zero Plates play an essential role in the calibration process for both magnetic and eddy current gages, ensuring that measurements start from an accurate zero point. Additionally, they serve as a base for both certified and non-certified plastic shims and polystyrene blocks, facilitating the verification process. For materials lacking a substrate, such as paper or fabric, Zero Plates provide an underlying surface to support accurate thickness measurements, offering versatility across various industries.
